Denver Wedding

Jon of Jonathan Betz Photography invited me to second shoot a wedding with him up in Denver a couple weeks ago. It was a gorgeous day for Pat and Brittany. Pat is on his way to becoming a helicopter pilot for the Navy to it was interesting to hear about that while I was photographing the guys getting ready. Best of luck to you guys as you start your lives together.

Senior Session

I had a great time last week shooting Margaret's Senior Session at Garden of the Gods and C.C. Margaret will be a senior at Rampart and has plans to go into biomedical engineering after graduating...whatever that means! She is also a hockey player so we had to get some shots with her hockey gear. Good luck in your senior year Margaret!

Zondervan Wedding

I happened to be back in the midwest for VACA and had the opportunity to shoot Eric and Angela Zondervan's wedding on July 10 in Grand Rapids, MI. I had a great time hanging out with all their friends and running around the city with them. Their bridal party was up for anything so it was a blast to shoot. Enjoy the images.

Pickett Family

I had the privilege of shooting the Pickett family for their 5 year anniversary last week. It was great getting to know them (Jonathan was a helicopter pilot in the Army) and photographing them. They were up for anything and very natural in front of the camera, which always makes for the best photos. Here are a few from our time at Red Rocks.

College Park Youth

I was commissioned by College Park Youth Group to design a couple of tshirts for summer mission trips. One is for a Junior High trip to Laurel, KY. The other is for a Senior High trip to Honduras.

Vann Clan

I had the opportunity to have a little shoot with the Vann Family down at the Broadmoor last week. We tried to get together around Memorial weekend, but we got rained out at least 3 times. It ended up working out at the last minute before Austin was deployed the Afghanistan. He is a chaplain in the military and is serving his first term there now. Thanks for the chance to spend some time with you guys. Stay safe Austin!

Easterlings

I was approached by my friend and co-worker, Annie, a few weeks ago about doing some maternity photos. She and her husband Josh are expecting a little girl at the end of May. I had never done a maternity shoot before, but for friends, why not give it a shot. So I went over with little-to-no-expectations of how it would go. It ended up being a lot of fun. I think I got some good shots too. Not bad for my first try.

West Family

Our friends, the Wests, invited me over to take some family photos for them. Joe was on leave for R&R from Iraq so they wanted to capture some memories of the time he was home, especially since Jackson, their son, is growing up so fast!

Wedding Logo

A friend from college asked me to create a logo for her wedding this October. Here is the final design.

Logo ReVAMP

I coach tennis at a local high school. When I asked the A.D. for a logo to use on our sweatshirts that I was designing, she sent me a LO_Res image of (what appears to be) a scanned patch! I couldn't believe it was the only logo they had on file. Anyway, I took the liberty of creating my own version in illustrator so I could use it freely. Here are the before and after images.

I have yet to figure out why the baby falcon is holding a club with a spike through it on the original. Also not sure what the stethoscope looking contraption is coming out of the little guys...ears...? Do birds even have ears? Who knows. One of those logos that are so odd, they are kind of cool (in my opinion).

Short Family

On our trip back to the midwest, I was able to get some family photos of the Shorts during our stop in Northwest OH. Here are a couple from the shoot.

Eric and Angela's e-session

Over our Christmas vacation in Michigan I had the opportunity to photograph Eric and Angela's engagement session. I will be shooting their wedding this summer and probably won't see them until then so we snuck in a couple hours between the snow/rain showers in downtown Grand Rapids. It was great to see you guys again and hang out for a bit. Looking forward to July 10 already!
